The Noetic Science Behind Dan Brown’s The Lost
Symbol
Mind influencing matter.
The body’s intelligence and self-healing capabilities. Energy healing. Information fields. Global consciousness.
Quantum entanglement and non-locality in biology.
Subjects that were once the province of mysticism and
science fiction are now the focus of frontier science. Called “noetic” science in Dan Brown’s new novel, The
Lost Symbol (Sept 2009), this body of research is ushering in the next major paradigm in medicine, healthcare,
biology, and physics.
Although The Lost Symbol may be fiction, the noetic science it refers to is
not. It’s real—real science based on real experiments that have been conducted by credentialed scientists under the
most stringent conditions, such as using controlled double-blind protocols, which is the gold standard of medical
and biological research.
One doesn’t have to look far to find this evidence, but
one does have to be willing to seek it out, because it is scattered among books, journals and websites. In this
site, we have brought together some of this research. There is far too much to provide a comprehensive overview, so
we focus on selected aspects of noetic science and provide links and bibliographic references so that you can
review this rich body of evidence on your own.
This website serves as a starting point for your exploration into the seemingly
miraculous capacities that noetic scientists tell us are possible—not for a special few, but for each and every one
of us. What you take from your exploration, however, is up to you. We trust that it will be an entirely new
appreciation—and even a sense of awe—for what the world is “really” like when you leave the shuttered halls of
academe and throw open the doors to the wonders Nature is revealing about human potential and the “deep down
things”* of our world.
*Deep Down Things: The Breathtaking Beauty of Particle
Physics (Johns Hopkins University Press), by Bruce A. Shcumm, a book on the conventional, not the noetic, aspects
of quantum physics.
